Thanks for the tip Ed. Is there a huge difference? Do you still have to worry about keeping the light off when idling?

Is there a particular year model that the CB72 with no L marking came on?

Thanks for the tip.

I did some searching through the forum and found a few conversations related to this. Seems that Vince had a good review saying his voltage was right at 13 with the motor running and headlight on and he hadn't had any charging issues since this swap was done.

Now to go see if either of my spare motors is an early one. If so, this bit of info just saved me the couple of hundred dollars I would have spent on Rick's stator.
