I received another Email from Mr. Chen saying the price was 35 to 40 dollars depending on model. So far very vague about his system. Cliff

I like the price, but it says you have to add a voltage regulator.

Does the $300 system have a built in voltage regulator?

Mr. Chen's misappropriated and inferior ignition

Post by toastola » Mon Mar 25, 2013 9:35 pm

Firstly, apologies to Michael Stoic for jumping his post, but since this is where Mr.Chen so rudely threw his name into the conversation, I'd like to comment. In regards to Mr. Chen attempting to sell an electronic ignition: the system he is trying to sell to you is an incomplete, unreliable and illegal copy of the system designed by Charlie O'Hanlon for Charlie's Place. Mr. Chen was once the manufacturer of only a small part of Charlie's ignition system, and does not have the knowledge (nor the legal right) to produce or assemble the complete unit as it is sold by Charlie thru his website. As Bill Silver will attest, the unit that Mr, Chen is peddling is by far inferior to the one Charlie makes. It is an unethical attempt to rip off a hard-working businessman who has done great things for our community.
