Do I really NEED a battery?

Post by CL77butcher » Tue Apr 12, 2011 7:18 am

I am nearly finnished with the bobber build and would rather not have a battery on the bike (read already painted and don't want to weld anymore). So I am asking for input from the forum....

Does a 68 CL77 require a battery to operate?

What do i need to do to the wiring to delete the battery?

What would be the downside(s) of not using a battery on my bike?

From what I know, if you want to delete the battery, you have to at least have a capacitor so you have some charge to start the engine each time and keep it running smoothly.
