Welcome,
Use the search link above or search the older post in Ignition- Mechanical first then ask questions.
I find much of what I need to know by looking at older post.

Timing a CA77 .look for this question from Zoom, it will be very helpful. set points gap , dry time ,gap a new set of plugs . spend much extra time reading any post that catches your eye . restoration threads are not only interesting but have a lot of info and references to other post with more info. does your bike run at all ? I've had to clean a passage in carb to be able to adj air mixture made huge difference . also changed caps and wires from coil , another huge diff . once had bike running decent I converted to the Probe elec ign system from this site ,but I would suggest get running good before that upgrade .my coil had wires epoxied in , found all info on this site to refurb it myself with some wire from E-bay.

You did not indicate which 305 you are working with but you should go to the yellow menu on the left, click FAQ and choose "How do I tune my---------- and follow Ed's recipe to the letter. It will not let you down.. Rusty

Guys, you are wasting your time. He posted on Jan 3rd and I gave him basically what you have all said as you can see and I never got a response from him. http://www.honda305.com/forums/post6821 ... ght=#68212
Probably another one of these short timers, leaches for information, spoon feed me now types that will never make a contribution and be gone. I know, cynical me. If this is not the case then please feel free to light me up, but regardless, I am done giving him any help.
