Battery

Post by Backyard » Sat May 30, 2015 12:29 pm

I have a 1965 Honda Dream 305 that i am working on and have no Battery for it. Can i start it with a 12 volt Battery Charger or do i have to get a battery to see if it runs.

I wouldn't use the battery charger, you can jump it from a car battery with the car NOT running.

I put the battery on and the starter chain moves but the engine does not turn over. The engine does with the kick start and i thing its the ignition dynamo rotor, starting clutch. How do i remove the ignition dynamo rotor, i have already removed the ac dynamo and the bolt in the rotor.

You screw an M16 bolt into the rotor to pull it off. They are pretty tight so the drill is to tighten the bolt and then give it a sharp tap on the end of the bolt to jar the rotor off the crank taper.
