Hi L M
Thanks for the information. Had a call from my brother to say he has located the bolt in question and had now got a stop for the kickstart.
This is hs first CA 77 and it is a steep learning curve.
Once again our thanks for all your help. Bill W

Hi Bill

Does he hear clicking when he rotates the shaft clockwise. The part(s) LM mentioned may be missing.

The parts 20,21,22 form the ratchet mechanism.

The Stopper, part 21 below Prevents the kickstart shaft continuously turning. May be missing or broken....

I have been in contact with my brother who tells me, that with the rightside cover removed, the kickstart shaft can be turned clockwise continously, it doesn't stop. Is there some kind of a stop built in that stops the kickstart shaft tuning?
Do you have any drawings or diagrams that would show this stop.
Thanks for your help so far. Bill W.
