Ya do want a good lens gasket but the one at the mount is a small apx. 3/8" round one with a slot for the 2 wires to pass through. ...........lm

For the rectangular "grommet" on the horn dome that the two wires pass through, I've carved my own from a chunk of rubber (usually a section from an old automotive suspension bushing), Yes, the color is not the stock grey, but it keeps the contaminants out. This would really be a great item for someone to repro, but that's probably been hindered by no one being able to furnish a good sample, as they seem to decompose more than any other item on these bikes. If you do disassemble the horn, there is a thin gasket between the horn mechanism and the housing that does seem to help the volume, so try to preserve it. Regards, Chase

If you look where the domed cover meets the horn body you will see several dimples in the cover. At the joint face below the dimple there is a very slim slot. Push a thin flat screwdriver in the slot and you can pop the cover right off.
