John,
No problem we are all here to help and like I said it's been along time since I have personally gotten my hand dirty on these bikes. I remember mostly how they work and the different designs of each model. Search the classified part of this site and you may also want to enter what you want in the Wanted Topic of this Forum. Good luck, Cliff

hi cliff,i did not know it was such a minefield when i bought it i maybe should have researched a bit more it was a pensioner trying to relive his youth buy but there is very little on the matter of what parts interact with what engines i have just purchased a parts numbers cd and shop manual but what is the best work shop manual to buy, regards john.
CB72 stuffHello John
I was confused as well, I think Cliff is right and it sounds like you need a lot of parts or better a complete engine to start with. The chances are even if you get a complete engine it will need a lot of work but its still possibly a better starting point. Have a look at a parts book / list and it will give you a better idea what you need. If you cant get anything complete I have some engine bits left that may help. Gordon SAFOJ
