Malcolm

I either pay the $100 for a 2nd case or use UPS / fedex. I have also used sea freight but that is complicated. I have seen a couple of bike companies offering to do shipping recently.

Okay, I have shipped a complete bike over myself, I am back over in Sept so may speak to UPS or fedex but the airline is probably going to be cheapest, may have to speak to my son-in-law nicely again, he has bought things over for me when on business. Where in the US do you go? I visit Ohio.

Malcolm

I shipped a CB160 back by sea freight. I go to the US on business and for about 5 years was there for two weeks out of every month. Mostly east coast but occasionally up to Canada and west to California. Never done Ohio, though.

Have eased off a bit now but still pick up bargains on US eBay. :-)

Okay sounds good, I shipped a CL175 back from New Jersey/New York with Kingstown Shipping of Hull, I can recommend them. My son-in-law now works for a company with links to the Derby area. I don't think you are missing anything in Ohio, unless the Amish interest you, I really liked New Jersey, previous to that it was Miami, now that's a different story.

CB72 racers

Post by GORDON BROWN » Thu Jun 20, 2013 4:19 pm

Hello Fozzie

As you can guess I have just been catching up on the fourm, a bit late but is your bike a 250 ? I raced one as a 250 for a while both in "kit" trim and full race with fairing etc, (there are some pictures in the racers section ) I think the main problem apart from the gearbox was always the weight ( bike and rider! ). I do remember seeing a quick one at CRMC meetings years ago but unfortunately cant remember the owners name.
I hope you are progressing with it.

Gordon

Hi again

As promised I've (hopefully) attached a picture of the bike. Currently on a push to get hold of the final bits I need to refit the kickstart and finding someone in the midlands to get the clutch working properly!

Thanks again for advice thus far

John

Looks good, are you at Mallory 1000 Bikes this weekend?

GORDON BROWN would that have been the Donington round about 3 years ago? if I remember right there was a couple of bikes from Scandinavia, I have a picture of one somewhere.
