Re: BRAKEAs far as I know it was 1961/1962 early.
Parts book is vague as it shows the 020 part from 10001 to 29791 then 310001 to 312672. Book doesn't show the 000 part bike application. I've only found that arm on the bikes with a production year of 1961 and I have one of those bikes which I am restoring for a feller. The question I have of this bike is why does it have the EARLIEST arm along with a 66/67 fork slider and no covers on the rear shocks. I asked the seller "Is this the actual bike on the HONDA manual". He replied yes. Now I need to find that manual and see what year it was issued. ..............lm
Re: BRAKELM
Thanks. I asked because I have just bought this in UK. I have yet to pick it up but everything points to a 1961 bike. I realise that 50+ years is a long time and anything can happen but it appears to have later style brakes which seems unusual. I have a couple of 1961 style brake plates to go on there. The numbers are interesting too. A matching numbers bike. It even has the original ribbed foot peg rubbers. That's only the 2nd one I have seen. The other was a 1964 Dream. A 66/67 bike with early brakes is strange - especially for something that looks so obviously a late bike. Maybe my bike got mixed up with that one some time ago....... :-) G
