I have just put my 1964 CB77 top end together joining the cam chain as stated in Bill Silvers engine repair guide as so punch mark on cam sprocket is positioned at top with the horizontal sides of the cam sprocket parallel with the top surface of the cylinder head, right hand piston at TDC, T mark on rotor alined with index mark on stator, index mark on end of points cam pointing up (12 o clock)
I set all the valves clearances.
Now when I set the right hand valve clearances (tappets) on compression stroke on the T mark the the index mark on the end of the points cam is pointing down (6 o clock) I need to know before I reinstall the engine.
Please can someone tell me is this correct ?.
EDIT Sorted out.
Cam Timing CB77
Re: Cam Timing CB77DOWN is where it needed to be.
That is where you adjust the right side valves. ........lm
