Coating of bits and bolts

Post by scrambled egg » Sun Aug 10, 2014 10:50 pm

Hey folks,
I`m just in the middle of the restoration of a `66 Scrambler, and now I decided to plate/coat all the original bolts of the bike. Does anyone know a place in Orange county CA where they do anything like cadmium or zinc coating? I spent some time with searching the web but couldn`t find a place. Any experience? Thank you!

Why not DIY? Eastwood and maybe other companies have plating systems well within the home hobbiest range of ability at a very reasonable cost. I haven't personally done any DIY plating but I'm sure a good search on this forum would yield a gold mine of information on it.

Thank you! I`m already registered but forgot my loginname :)
I`m gonna check out this place in Anaheim.
Ahenthus: I don`t have time and don`t wanna mess up my patio even more with big buckets and wires, there are too many dirty old Honda stuff there already :)
