That's an impressive clean-up!!
Did you acid-dip it??
Had to cobble-up a little tool to unscrew the fork ring, I wanted to make from steel & weld on a couple of handles, but didn't have any, so I made it from alloy & yanked it round with a pipe wrench, & since to tool was screwed on tight, I barely had to pull at all, it came off very easily.

Welcome to the forum and good to see another CB77 being restored in Yorkshire. I have been a member for a couple of years and I can highly recommend the content and excellent advice from the members.

Tha is a very neat tool for the job. I am going to attempt to strip my forks on my 1965 CB77 during the next winter so will be interested in what you find. I was hoping to the seal retainer to loosen with a strap wrench! We will see!
