Offset rear wheel

Take a look at the photo below. Does the rear wheel look oddly offset to the right? I changed out the counter-sprocket and found excessive wear on the left side, which would go with the right-offset as well. The spacers are in the right places - large one on the left - per the book. I've checked the swingarm and it appears to be square and straight. I see no evidence of damage to indicate a bent frame. I'm tempted to just cut down the spacer on the left and add a piece to the right to center the wheel. Any suggestions or ideas before I do that?

Tis possible that some time back a previous owner used the wrong spacers. If you will measure both spacers I will check through my spares for ya. The CL77 bikes used similar but different length spacers. .......................lm

Hard to get an accurate measurement without taking it apart, since the right side goes under the seal, but it looks like the right one (chain side) is a bit over 3/4" (maybe 20mm) and the left is just about 1-17/32" (39mm?).

Those are actual measurements, taken with a 6" machinists scale. they're probably accurate to within 1/32". I slipped the scale under the seal on the right side. I'm a tool maker by training so "accurate" to me is within +/- .002"
