lookin like you're getting pretty stock on this. you should paint the tail light bracket silver to top it off. looks great.

My Son over ruled me on that one :) I noticed the other night when reading Bill Silvers Restoration Reference Guide, he said the US bikes all had black center stands and black tail light brackets. Just found it, page 27 and 28. "All U.S. centerstands and taillight brackets (except white models) were painted black." Hmmm...

We have the mufflers on now, he did a great job of cleaning these up. We are going to put the tank and side covers back on and park it in the family room in the basement for a few weeks until the weather gets a bit nicer. It should look good there as long as it doesn't block the TV :) Then we will get it outside and finish the few remaining items like activating the battery and putting fluids in. I will post up some pictures then.

ol' bill silver is great, but LM has the first hand experience and pictures to prove it. also, after hearing him say that they were silver, i've noticed that just about every cb77 that claimed "never been restored, 100% original" and looked it, had a silver tail light bracket. i think the black were probably honda or AM issued replacements.

oh, and i'm excited for you to finish. due to funds being put elsewhere, and the decision to wait till i can visit texas and have LM work on my engine, has put my superhawk on hold. I've only been able to ride it for about 3 weeks of the year and a half i've owned it :/

I hope it won't be long wait Gun. There is snow in the forcast, so here will be the garage for a while. It fits nicely here, and frees up the work area for the next project.

You have read printed information which isn't true fact. Because it's in print and authored by a respected knowledgeable HONDA feller doesn't make it so and again because it's in print will be carried on and on and more US bikes will be restored incorrectly. You are a prime example as is your bike . ...................lm
