Of course I can be friends. ..............lm

I'm proud of the very afordable emblem that might be cooler than the OEM parts for $5 .

I hoped I could share, and that some one might ask?

Do you mean to make me feel challenged?

If so I'll bet one cb77 and raise ya one KZ1000 my most recent resurrection.

Did you think I was trying to sell the badges ? WRONG (from other posts I see your selling stuff though)

I told you the whole badge story.3" mirror and sticker.

Go to the truck stop and buy a 3inch stick on mirror Which fits in the tank dent nicely.

Find a local vynal sticker guy, then find a photo of the emblem.(be sure to make a left and a right)

I had 6 made for $30 with care they will fit nicely on the mirrors.

Not at all because ya could if ya wanted.
OK! OK!
I see what to use to make the badges but I did see ya ask/tell after the pics.
At last I know how/what they are.
I thank you for sharing the process after several messages to at last get the info after ya had shown them and felt it necessary to ask for show of interest when no response was offered.
As ya are new to the forum my hope ya will share future info without sort of playing games/QandA for simple things.
Friend? ................lm

I like it! Are the tank panels painted? I also do a "re-fresh" rather than a resto. Get it back on the road with-in a budget. You can't beat it for an investment of $80

Yes the planels are painted the silver to match the fenders and the tank black to match the frame.

I took it completely down and rebuilt with freesh parts along the way. It's a very complete rebuild I'm just not very fussy about the OEM type of things.

I took it all apart and replaced the wheel bearings, chain, shocks and rebuilt the forks, carbs, points, and creamed the tank.

I wraped the pipes and bought new mufflers. The seat was fixed(springs) repaded to add the little bump stop and recoverd.

The rear tire is over size and the shocks a little long.Help give it some attitude.

One other trick I might share I used electric heat shrink rap on the usable but ugly cables.Go to the hardware store and buy a roll of 5/16-3/8 rap and cover the whole cable housing.
