The stock switch is mounted on the right. I have one I can photograph if you wish.

Also check to see if the swingarm is bent/twisted. Regards, Chase

jensey,

how do you know the handlebar switch is not stock?
Original winker switches are up/down type, this is a horizontal switch, never used on CB72/77 or even early CB450's.
The stock switch is mounted on the right. I have one I can photograph if you wish.

I'm sorry G, winker switches can be R/H or L/H. R/H can be two types, L/H only one type.

Here a few pictures of a left hand switch, and the earliest R/H switch (two different bikes, a 1962 and a 1961 bike). These switches are the same as on the CB92.

and the right hand light switch which comes with the LH winker switch. D stands for dimlicht and G stands for grootlicht. As far as I know the dutch version was the only one with a LH winker switch, by law at the LH side (throttle and winker switch never on the same side).

I got all types of winker and switches, that's why I know that you '(probably) dont have an original one.

Hill,
I have a 10558XX Bike that is missing a few of the later parts. If you are going to sell any of that stuff for your build let me know.
