They are 5mm JIS thread (.9mm) oval head screws, 30mm long. You can get them from Joseph Tubb. His e-mail is icemanjat@hotmail.com. He appears on EBay occasionally selling JIS threaded screws. Just e-mail him your request; he is familiar with the 305 JIS screws.

I had the same worn screws and ordered then from Honda, was told I could get them, and the ones that showed up for the points cover AND the stator cover had the wrong thread. Good to know where to get them from. I was just surprised Honda thought these would fit.

The threads' pitches were changed from JIS (Japanese Industrial Standard) to ISOmetric (International Standards Organisation) near the end of production.

i ordered them today from the service center where i work. i figure they are probably wrong but for .32cents each i thought i would take a shot. I guess i already knew they were wrong before i even read this. They also said the cb77 was only made in 1962..??

i got some from my honda service center today part # 93700-05030 and they fit. They seemed a little snug going in but i pulled them back out and no threads seem to be messed up and no sign of wrong thread bolt. They were kinda black on the end after i put them in so i think it was just a little dirty threads. I took them back out several times and they work good now. These were not what the computer called for but my service center guy broke out the book for old bikes and this is the part # we came up with.
