starter clutch parts, not too bad!

Post by AWILLIAMS64 » Sun Feb 15, 2009 8:53 pm

well i got my starter clutch parts and decided this evening would be a good time to tear into it and see what it looked like. I read a few posts and started taking it apart,. Not a bad job at all once you get the rotor off...that is if you get the parts back in right the first time! All of mine fell out once i got it apart before i got a chance to look at it. The springs were broken, the rollers looked ok but i had them so i put new ones in.,..unfortunately i was put them in wrong the first time and of course the rotor would not go on at all...i put them long ways instead of side to side. Once i realized that this could not work in any wany...ok so it took me about an hour, i put them in the right way and the rotor slid right back on...another learning experience!
