Where should I start?

Any suggestions would be fantasic!

Oh, I had a question, Can this bike start/ run w/out a battery installed?

Dex, nice start! You'll need a battery to run her, one with a good charge, or you'll cook the rectifier. One thing that stands out to me is the tailight and bracket are not correct. looks like it's from a 70s SL Honda. Start by changing oil, flushing fuel tank, and petcock, cleaning carbs, check air filters, clean and adjust points, set timing, new plugs etc.

Thanks! for 500 bucks I can go wrong!

good eye for spoting that taillight! kinda ugly!

what kind of battery should I drop in it?
12V ??AMP??

I have a scooter battery kicking around the shop...Will that work?

Does it have a eletric start? or am im going to be kicking it? (I have zero exp. with metric bikes)

12V 9AH, if not mistaken. It does have electric start, the button is on the right bar switch. The scooter battery would probably be fine to start it on. If you have a Batterys Plus by you, they can get you the correct battery for about $40.

Awsome!

I love this thing!

The throttle is stuck or very firm, what is the problem?

Thanks

stuck throttle

I'm guessing your throttle slides are stuck in the carb barrels due to the varnish left behind when the gas dried out. I suggest you take off the tank and get to work. Unscrew the carb tops and squirt in some solvent, let it soak and then gently jiggle the throttle cables until the slides unstick.

I mean, for starters.
