front end assembly

Post by big-b » Mon Oct 25, 2010 7:47 am

I'm just starting to get some of my bike back together and although i took tons of pictures they don't really help when the previous owner didn't have all the parts. The area of the picture that is highlighted in red is what i'm confused about. Are these parts aligned in the correct order for assembly? It seems that Part #18 is already attached to the forks and then i slide the rest of the parts on. I screw in #14A the little threaded pin, then when i put on part #8 it hits up against the nut part of 14A and leaves about 3/16" of space bettween the lower triple tree and part #8.

Maybe someone could provide a couple pics of this area and that might solve my problem or help me ask the right questions.

Thanks,

Brian

Do you mean 14A holds 8 on and then the sandwich?

8 slides on then 14A is threaded in holding 8 in place?
