Hey dav, thanks for the advice,, i found the chassis numbers... the superhawk frame # CB 77 1027881, the engine # CB 77 E 1037926............. the dream numbers frame CI 78 105343.......
and engine # CA 77E 105351....... is there any signifigance with the dream engine and frame numbers being so close and the superhawk frame and engine numbers being quite a bit further apart... do you know how the numbers break down,,, can we tell when exactly the bikes were built..... when i used to restore mid year corvettes there was the bible of restoration, which allowed you to break down the vin numbers and work backwards knowing how many cars were built per day and you could tell the day and almost to the hour when your car was built... any thing simular with the honda's... i'm hoping the bill silver books have way more info than i have now... thanks bro...np

No significance of them being so close. That just means that it's probably the original engine as the engine ID is usually only a few numbers away from the VIN. Engines and chassis hardly ever matched up. There was the occasional perfect match which is significant and can bring a higher value. If the numbers are quite a ways off like your CB, that usually means the engine has been replaced.

Nick, your CB is '65 or '66; look at the harness tag beneath the tank (tank has to be removed) to narrow it down. Looks like it has been re-motored at some stage.
Your Dream is a '64.
