Superhawk production numbers

Post by Dick Eastman » Tue Aug 18, 2015 4:58 pm

Is there a data sheet showing the serial number range for the Superhawk for each year produced, as well as how many were produced for each year? I recently acquired two, one I want to restore to original, and the other perhaps a cafe style. Thanks.

Hi Dick

This is the front page out of the CB72/77 parts manual. Some people have bikes with numbers outside the ranges shown so accuracy is not perfect. It's a start, though....

Here is another list from CMSNL.com seems to be a little different.

It should represent the last engine or frame number that was produced that year. Sometimes it falls short.....

Thanks. I recently saw somewhere [?] that 17000+ '66's were produced - can't remember who /where I saw this, but obviously someone has numbers. I always thought 1961 was the first year, and 1968 was the final year, sold concurrently with the 350.
