which way kicker pedal

Post by Tonyshawk » Mon Mar 04, 2019 11:17 pm

Hi, I am putting together a 1969 cb77. The kicker cover is the same type as the 1961 cb77 on the cmsnl.com parts list, its the one with the kicker on the bottom splined shaft. does this kicker kick forward or backward? Are these kicker pedals hard to find? The only one I've been able to find is on Ebay and the guy wants $125 or whatever for it. Is there anyone on here with one available that's worth having.

They kick forward. Consequently the pedals are different from anything out there and difficult to find.

I built one up from (expensive) NOS parts recently but no takers on eBay. If you are patient, they turn up occasionally. Don't expect a bargain.

O K, G-man I thank you for your information. I guess that explains why that kicker is so expensive, at least I know which way it kicks now. I've been riding Harleys for over 35 years so if need be I can modify a kicker and powdercoat it, I know that won't be original but that'll have to do til I can get one. Again G-man I thank you for the info.
