superhawk hard starting cold ??

Hi guys , probably been posted here a million times , but i just did a full ignition overhaul and carbs on a 65 superhawk , everything is new coils, leads , plug end caps, wiring harness, points plate , carbs are all new internals , floats etc . runs like a clock when its warmed up after say 2 minutes running but man i cant seem to find the correct combo to get it to fire with out me manually working the throttle and choke etc , like i said once it gets just a tad warm it purrs like a kitten , any suggestions . i am going to recheck my timing and points gap tommorow , it very well could be that the engine itself is getting tired low compresion etc .

It'sthe natureof the beast! They are cold blooded, and it sounds like you are working it properly. Go to the FAQ, look up how to tune my 305, and follow it to the T.
