Replacing Spark Plug Caps

Post by frankclk2011 » Wed Jul 18, 2012 6:14 pm

Just bought a new set of spark plug caps. How is the best way to install them on a CB77
superhawk? If I do it myself, what tools do I need?

I assume they are NGK caps? Unscrew the old ones from the wires. Use a wire cutter and snip off about 1/4" inch of the wire so you are making a fresh connection. Lube up the end of the wire with a little soap and slide on the rubber boot. Screw on the cap making sure the screw part inside is screwing into the wire. Screw on tight. Slide the boot over the cap. Install the rubber plug cover onto the cap. Install cap on plug.
