Honda CL-77 front seat attachment

I just bought a Honda CL-77 and had to take off the seat. I notice there's a cupped gizmo towards the front but do not see anything that is slides onto. Am I missing something?

If it's what you're describing, the lip on the seat slides under the lip on the frame. The earlier models had a twin forked affair that the seat slipped onto. The frame attachment had a bar affair.
