Its a single. A Matchless with Norton wheels and roadholder forks......

Shifting question???
Rob
I wish! And yes I have heard of Dave Roper. Watched him a couple of times at Mallory Park which less than an hour from my house. I still cannot work out what happened with Rob Ianucci and Team Obsolete. They seemed to be everywhere and now they don't seem to be anywhere.
My Matchless is a G3 - 350, ride-to-work bike. Because the factory were so desperate in the late 60s they built the 350s with the same bottom-end as the G80CS, Norton gear-type oil pump, steel flywheels, hot cams and all.
It's a bullet-proof bike with hardly any mechanical noise at all. The valve clearances are set to zero thou so no clatter from the top end. Apart from a de-coke the bike has never been apart and doesn't leak oil.

And this is me before I could reach the foot pegs, circa 1966.

As a Matchless man for a long time - I knew that - lovely bike. Might get to see some at the Stafford show later today.

My restored CB400F was centre stage at the very first of these shows in 1994.
