1st time fire up today on a bottle, still have more cleaning & tune up to do so I did not run it too long; but I did notice when placing my hand over exhaust pipe ends (muffler off, straight pipes right now), one was warm and one was cold. The pipes gave same result, one was hot, and one was cold.
Any idea why this temp difference was occurring? Thank you.

Exhaust Different Temps
Took a few more times paying attention to timing, and getting that right on; which I now have done. Also, delved into carbs for more cleaning which helped too. Had spark, had good fuel source, and today she fired up on 2nd kick with both cylinders running well. Happy now, all we need here up North is month of May instead of January.Hahnda wrote:You are probably only running on one cylinder. Try firing up the bike and pull the plug cap on the cold side and the hot side. Probably no change on the cold side and bike will probably die when you pull the hot side.
