Main Centre Stand Spring Hook

I am trying to fit a centre stand to a CL77 and I find that I need a horseshoe shaped part that connects to the upper end of the spring - I am not sure exactly how the horseshoe is held to the main frame. I need to make this horseshoe part so could somebody sketch it for me with basic dimensions. The part is shown on the parts catalogue as item 50523-273-010.

Ian,

The 50523-273-010, MAIN STAND SPRING HOOK upper end mounts to a "BOSS" that is welded to the inside of the LH rear frame tube.

It is immediately inboard of the rear brake switch mounting location.

The hook wraps around the center stand and the return spring attaches to the lower end of the hook.

I have attached a photo (sorry about the focus) of the hook attached to the frame of my 1965 CL77.

As for making one, Ohio Cycle, www.ohiocycle.com lists them in their aftermarket section for US $7.50.
