I am restoring a 66 cl 77. I bought the bike in a box and I am starting to gather all the parts that I need to complete it. Most of the bike is their but it did come without the gas tank. I posted an ad in the "wanted parts forum" for a gas tank and I got a reply from a gentleman who has a tank. He says it is a "no seam tank, with a crossover tube". I am not sure what that means. The vin number for my bike is cl771033468. What does it mean to have a tank with a factory seam on the top? Also did the 66 cl 77 use the same tank as any other cl models? Thanks in advance.
