Anyone use an AGM (glass matt) battery in their bike?

I found a perfect replacement for the 12n9-3a. Bikebatts.com has a YB9L-B that fits perfect and has all the benifits of the AGM batteries.

Just in case you were interested in never having to worry about acid problems etc.

Hi Irutt,

I use a YB9L-B in my c78 dream and fits well, works great.

Battery Specifications:

Dimensions (+/- 1/16IN): L = 5 5/16 ; W= 3 ; H= 5 1/2
Polarity: Left side (-) ; Right side (+)
Weight: 5.3 LBS
Acid Volume (OZ): 20.3
Regular Charge Current (AMP) 0.9

I hope this information could be useful for everyone.

Thanks Irutt,

Albano Martins

Both AGM? Great technology (originally designed 25+ years ago for the aviation industry). Becoming more freely available in many sizes and shapes now, and getting less expensive. High CCA and will deep-cycle too, combined attributes that are rare in other battery technologies.

Highly recommended!
