After market baffles

Post by RonBou » Thu Jul 23, 2009 7:19 am

I just bought a set of after market baffles for my 66 305 Dream and they ALMOST fit. Not sure if the bikes has original mufflers or after markets but it looks like the opening at the end of the mufflers need to be expanded roughly a 1/16 of an inch so the end of the baffle will fit far enough to use the set screw. Any ideas before I take a rasp to it??? Thanks for any help you can give me.
Ron

I had to beat mine into submission to get them in....repro exhaust and baffles...I think I actually had to cut a bit off the end and them hammer it together so the exhaust didn't just flow through the middle. Messy! good luck

when i bought my CA77 in 1973 it had no baffles in the original mufflers..it had been a Shriners bike and i suspect they had pulled them out . when i bought replacement baffles from a Honda dealer soon after they pushed right in a with just a little effort .

i really don't know how this helps you
