it lives!

Post by I-man » Sun Oct 11, 2009 3:19 pm

been away for a while from the forum and the bike but I was able to work on it this weekend and...IT LIVES!!!!!! I'm very excited. i sounds great, very deep and thumpy. thanks to everyone on this forum for your help. lots of things to work out before I can get it on the road, but it's great to hit that button and hear it turn over after being silent for 20 years!

I know the feeling!
Mine had been sitting since 1979.
Keep watching the forum and you will pick up many tips as I am.

thanks for the words of encouragement! still lots to do, but nothing like hearing it thump to make you want tot keep at it. i've run it a few times since and seem to have gotten it to idle fairly well. now to get the tank sorted out then hopefully go for a ride. thanks again.
