Hi all
Have been enjoying reading through posts (I am no stranger to bike forums as I have a few old Ducati's) and am looking for some immediate (Dating) and long term (restoration) help and looking forward to the comerarderie that forums foster, afterall we must be nuts buying and then sinking more bucks into an old bike!
I bought my dream about 20 years ago when a mate rang me and told me he was at a garage sale and there was the ugliest bike he had ever seen there.
I went and had a look and after a bit of discussion with the owner I bought it.
The owner told me it was in the familly for years and that the original relative / purchaser was the local priest (small town in Victoria) and only rode it to church on Sunday!
I took this with a grain of salt, loader her up on the ute and took her home. Upon going through the leather panniers I found old marriage certificate envelopes so maybe the story was true.
Anyway the bike has been with me through kids, divorce, needing cash to restore my dukes and has survived all the above.
Now it's time to do her justice....Let the Games begin.....
So my dilema is I had believed she was a 57, this now seems unlikely on reading a lot of posts on here. The numbers are as follows....
Engine C77E110900
Frame 10900 (the 9 maybe an 8 or a 3)
SHe is in wonderful condition for her age and seems completely original.
I will post some pics soon.
Thanks in advance
Michael

Welcome.
Bernie Andrivon down in Hamilton used to have tons of Honda stuff - mainly CB but i think he has/had piles of Dream stuff too. He used to run Superstar Automotive in Kew and did wheels, and moved bush a few years ago.

A 61 eh thanks both for the date and the tip on the Hamilton connection.
The Internet is such a great tool. When I got the bike it had no key so I walked into Bedgood Honda in Ballarat (another good shop gone) and told him what I was after and the numbers well ol mate walked out the back and reappeared with the right key for the bike.... How lucky can you be? Looking forward to getting started on the old girl and will put up some pics this weekend Michael
