Going to look at a Honda 305 tomorrow.

A friend wants to sell me a Honda 305. He isn't sure of the year, but says he did get a title. He has too many unregistered vehcles and his township wants them removed. He bought this one a few months ago and hasn't done anything with it. He states it is complete and was running 2 years ago, according to the prior owner. He says he was able to get it running with a spray of ether, but it didn't stay running.
I don't know anything about Honda 305's. Can you tell me what I should be looking for? Any ideas about value? Any comments at all would be appreciated.

That's a difficult question to answer. It depends on what condition it is in, what parts are missing, carb covers, side covers tank emblems, chain gaurds etc.Stock mufflers in good condition are of great value. How much rust on chrome etc. Look on ebay for going rates. I bought a CA72 250cc Dream which has the same body style for parts acouple of weeks ago and I paid $275 plus gas and title transfer, I got a good stock luggage rack and many good parts and stripped it and am selling what I do not want on Ebay and got $200 back already.I bought another 305 for parts last year for $175.00 and put engine on my bike.I also bought a rust bucket for $300 last year and used some parts and sold the rest that were good. Hope this helps.
