The problem I have isn't size. It's terminal placement. Most of the 12N9-3A batteries I've seen have top-placed terminals. On my Dream, that doesn't work at all. Yuasa used to make a 12N9-3A that had terminals that extended past the battery case on both sides, and that one works too. If you're using a top-terminal version and your '65 is set up like mine, you need to fabricate an extender for the terminal or get a longer ground strap, and you'll need a different battery hold-down mechanism.
