Newbie help

Post by Mwilson4040 » Wed May 09, 2012 7:58 am

Hi i am finally going to fullfill a dream of restoring a vintage motorcycle. The styles i like are the dreams superhawks and cb77 black bomber style. Was wondering wich model that honda makes would be the easiest and least expensive to restore but still have that look i prefer the dreams over them all. And would like to stick to 305cc or bigger thanks

I'm partial to the Dreams looks-wise as well as seating position (I'm a little old to be hunched over the handlebars for very long) and there seems to be more parts available for them. Single carb setup is also easier to work on as well.

My '62 Dream was my first restoration project. I'm a female with no mechanical background - just a desire to learn! I got her put together and running and now just doing some minor cosmetic stuff. The manuals helped a ton, but I couldn't have done it without the help of the knowledgeable people on this forum. I don't know much about the superhawks and bombers other than I like the looks of them as well, but I'm still kind of partial to my Dream!
