Hi...my name is Jason and I have a motorcycle problem. After an extensive resto mod of a 1965 Honda Super 90 I became aroused by the dream. So this week I found a real nice "survivor" 1964...so the PO says. Anyway it runs good, is straight, and is complete. It has the seamless tank, in blue, OEM tires even. my questions are:
1. I saw the VIN chart someone posted but I can't deciphering.heres my VIN what do the numbers tell you? CA7810021772
2. What weight oil you guys running? And what volume?
3. can you still get OE air filters?

I can see a problem. Your VIN number is 8 digits, which is too long. 1965 and up have 7 digits after the model, 1964 and earlier have 6 digits. G-Man posted this a while ago http://www.honda305.com/forums/download.php?id=6431 It would be nice if you posted a photo of your bike.
Owners manual originally called for 30 wt non-detergent. I think it is around 1.5 quarts There have been some intense discussions on the issue. http://www.honda305.com/forums/30w-non- ... 20anything
Yes on the airfilter. http://www.olypen.com/retro/ Terry and Carol are great people to deal with.
BTW, some people on the forum are more inclined to help you if you put your location in your profile. Also there may be someone who lives in your neck of the woods and would be glad to stop by and help.
Good Luck- HT

Dream
Sounds like you have a bitsa bike. CA78 should have the seamed tank. Not that it matters if you are happy with it.
Look at your frame number again. As Hoosier Tom says, too many digits. What is your engine number. None of this will matter for oil or air filter, but will matter if you go to get other parts.
