I've got a bad tick coming from the engine. Can't quite figure out where it's coming from. Sounds like once per revolution and most pronounced at idle. Cam chain tensioner and valves have been adjusted and bike has fewer than 3000 miles on it. Any ideas?

I'd say you need to do the valves again. ............lm

Don't think it's the valves
I adjusted the valves with zero play and I'm still getting the same noise. Any other guesses as to what it might be?

I'll check the timing chain and sprocket rivets.
I'll be pulling the cam cover to check those things out. I was wrong about the mileage. It's around 5200. Still not a lot.
I'm thinking I may as well replace the timing chain while I'm in there. Any advice regarding endless or master link? Obviously I'd rather do the master link style since there's less dis-assembly required. Where can I get a good quality chain?
