On the side rails on each side of my dual seat there are three captive M6 studs and a clamp plate with 3 holes, these can only be seen when the seat is inverted.
Does anyone know what they are for? I thought perhaps a tool store?
Have posted a photo - hopefully it will make sense to someone.

Re: CA77 Dualseat siderails
They are used to hold down the passenger grab belt that goes around the seat. Basically, the belt goes under the clamps and tightens down. Here are some pictures of how I redid my seat. Should give you a visual on the strap bbap mentioned.Ian_C wrote:On the side rails on each side of my dual seat there are three captive M6 studs and a clamp plate with 3 holes, these can only be seen when the seat is inverted.

Dual Seat Siderails
Many thanks to Paperslammer for a great article on recovering the dualseat. Luckily a previous owner had done most of this work on my bike, to make it perfect I just need to make the grabstrap and source a chrome strip surround. Ian
