Had one in '69 and the good memories return. (Coil cover is off to clean the coil area)
Cannot believe the shine of 46 year old paint.

Cleaned the points, new battery, fuel lines, new oil, basic maintenance and it started. Hearing the motor run made my day.

It certainly looks nice. I love the tires. If you replace them, save them.

Bike has obviously sat for a long time. I figure it's where it sat flat or was pushed around flat.

The tires were never flat. It sat since '91 that I know of. Whether someone aired them occasionally, I don't know but they were up and seem fine.

I think the sidewall black rubber that covers the white on the sidewall has over time, just just peeled away.

I will be changing out the tires but not sure of what whitewall brand to go with - still searching tire options.

The front tire is barely worn except for the whitewall oddity.
