Been fiddling with my 64 dream , it's running great ,so now is the time to take it all apart ! I just acquired another dream with (literally)EVERY nut , bolt and any other removable part freshly chromed ! I am swapping out the front suspension with the new chrome one and took off the upper bolts that seem to attach to the triple tree , now those bolts are reluctant to go back in ! Looking with a flashlight , seems the inner hole doesn't quite line up correctly. is this due to the spring tension being different since the springs are out ? any tricks to fix this alignment prob? Do I need to remove the cover skins to get this done?
