weird serial # help

i was trying to figure out this bikes year. the frame # is c77 A10077 engine # ca77E 1009072 it has the early seamless tank on it

It's 1960. They used the A that year before adopting the CA77 prefix.

You should have a breather tower at the back of the crankcase.

Yours is a pretty early bike.

I have C77- A10268 so yours is around 200 numbers older than mine... :-)

Looks like your engine has been swapped for a newer one.

thanks for the info, it does not have a breather tower so it must be a 1964 type 11 engine
