I removed the baffles from mine for two reasons: safety and performance.

Safety: Traffic can be dense where I ride. Cars are much less likely to change lanes into you if they can hear you and know you're there. Of course, one tries to avoid riding in someone's blind spot but it isn't always possible. Loud pipes do save lives.

Performance: My Dream runs significantly better in top gear on the highway/freeway without the baffles — more power and more tops speed. It revs out much better.
Do what you've always done and you'll get what you've always had.

Nice ride! Like the baffle clones.

Question for all: I have a hole in the bottom of each exhaust in the same place each side! About in the middle of muffler on the bottom. Common? I'm thinking it's from starting it 'just to hear it', over and over through the years thus causing condensation to go to the low point. Wild guess. Question is, any simple fixes out there? Epoxy? Weld it? Thanks.

Wow, learn something new all the time! Great stuff LM. And to think I was going to fill them because they looked like rust-through holes

Goes back to the, "no dumb questions" adage because I almost didn't post that. Thanks again.

I put my city (KERRVILLE) which is in the "TEXAS HILL COUNTRY" and as you know is a large area of TEXAS with many CITIES/TOWNS. What is the name of the CITY /TOWN you live and add it to the SIGN IN sheet. ......................lm
