Another newbie question about figuring out the year

Post by navybear_63 » Tue Jul 12, 2016 12:49 pm

My dream is one that has the different engine numbers and frame numbers. They are as follows:

Engine CA77E-1014829
Frame CA78-1016208

After looking all over I cannot tell if they are matching numbers and what year it is. Can anyone help?

Thanks,

A little too far apart to be matching numbers, but anything is possible. Normally 200-300 is the limit but some CA78s ahad around 5000 for a while in '63.

Here are the number from the Honda Parts book. It got a bit vague after '65.
