Portawalls
Portawalls
I just installed new Duro black wall tires and converted them to white walls using Portawalls. I'm very impressed with how they fit and look.

Thanks Jim, I'm really pleased with them. No glue or adhesive of any kind. They are installed with the tire and the bead holds them in place. They are pre-formed for the shape of the tire. The guy that installed them was really impressed, originally he kind of turned his nose up at them.Jims65CA77 wrote:Very nice looking! Did you use any type of "cement" or are they only held on by the tire bead? I'd like to know how they hold up with "regular" riding. NICE JOB!!
Will be interested to see how they hold up over time.
I got a set of Atlas brand, a couple years back, and they have turned a brownish-yellow on the very edges, kind of like they absorbed some chemical out of the tire itself.
Nothing I've tried has been able to restore the white so far.
I'm getting ready to try some white shoe polish next!
