Just to be clear - The flange on the end of the header should be way inside the head and seat against the exhaust gasket. Then the two collars go in, bearing against the back side of the flange, then the clamp clamps the collars to the flange. It looks to me like something may be keeping your headers from going into the head (maybe the collars). Let us know what you find!

ohhhh gosh I feel stupid haha. I had the collars in first then the headers on which makes zero sense lol. Guess I have the right headers and the wrong builder :P

Thanks for all the help. I will post up later tonight and confirm my stupidity

We all do those things from time to time. What I think about myself when I make mistakes is that the biggest problem with my bike is a loose nut holding the handlebars.

lol yeah it happens. Years ago when I was building my Celica alltrac for the first time I couldn't get it to start. No spark. Spent 2 weeks trying to figure out why, when finally I notice the distributor was unplugged...

I shortened the throttle cable and fixed the header issue. So now I just want to re-powder the handle bars thanks to me scratching them and fix a chip in shock paint. Should have some pics posted in the next week or so of the two year project.

Thanks again!,
