Carb Won't Fill
Just tried to attach a pic - it says 'Sorry, I'm only allowed to edit my posts."
But RE: the fuel problem, yes, when the float rises in the bowl it is supposed to cut the fuel off; as the fuel level in the bowl drops, the floats do too - the needle lowers/falls out of the needle seat, allowing more fuel into the bowl, which again fills and cuts off, and the process repeats itself. My problem is I have no fuel getting to the bowl. The bowl is empty. I attach a fuel line to it to try to get gas into the bowl to start the bike, and the fuel backs up into the fuel line that goes to the carburetor. To check the bowl, I drain the backed-up gas out of the fuel line that goes to the carburetor fuel inlet, where it is supposed to go from the fuel line into the carburetor and down into the bowl. I remove the bowl, and there is no fuel in it - none. Now, the Neat thing is, when I take the bowl OFF with a FULL fuel line still attached - when I undo the retaining wire and loosen the bowl to remove the bowl - the fuel drains from the line into the bowl. ??? I take off the bowl, and there is no gas in the bowl. And the fuel that has backed up into the fuel line, just sits there. It doesn't go anywhere. I had have just this same problem with my CL77 and have heard of it from others too.
Solution for me was easy but it took a while too figure out, with fuel in the tank and the tap ON just blow hard with your mouth into the fuel tank! This will 'force' fuel through the pipe into the float bowl and once you've done this the fuel will flow normally in future. If you let the fuel drop and need to switch to reserve expect to have to repeat the operation. Can't really explain, sort of air lock in the gas line, but the solution above worked for me! Interesting.. These old Hondas get quirkier as they get older. Just like us...... :-)

The filter on the banjo union into the carb is blocked remove and clean with carb cleaner The petrol flows from the tank into the bowl 👍🏼 but not out because the banjo is blocked and causes and airlock so the petrol in the pipe backs up to a stop
