I am soooooo jazzed to have it going back together. And yes he is doing a great job. I have a set of buco saddlebags with built in turn signals. I used the old beehive type lenses in them. I might eventually add front turn signals, however the old man is fighting me on that. Your bike is a 1962 250? Let me know what parts you need and I will keep an eye out for you. Ebay has been my best source but let me tell you first hand that you need to double check what year parts you buy. I say this because the earlier years 63 and earlier, used different parts. My 305 used some 250 parts internally. But the wheel hubs, and fork bridge plates are different for sure than the later models. I am sure there are many other parts that are also different. So, if you need anything let me know. I have some extra parts that im probably not going to use.

Last questions before I go to bed....Is that blue tape or is that painted? What kind of tires are they? I just showed my husband and he really liked them!

Mine's a '62 305. I love those buco bags but they're SO expensive! (Maybe I can talk him into it for Christmas!) I've found out finding parts for the '62 is a little harder. I don't need too many things. The cables I found on ebay and the only other thing I'm looking for is a right side cover. The one that's on there is plastic and I want to replace it with a metal one.

Yes the blue stuff is tape, we did that so when we put it back on... we didn't hit any of the corners and mess up the paint! I told you he was a perfectionist. Those tires are Kendas, but the whitewall part of them are portawall inserts. If you go to the universal tire website and look up whitewall inserts you will find them. To find good modern looking tires that fit with wide whitewalls, your going to be old and gray before you get them. So the next option is to use portawalls which is just a "fake" whitewall. I will post more pictures in the next few days. Good luck on your bike. and Have fun with it! G'nite.
